Trust me honey, we’ve all been there. We know how painful it is and sometimes it becomes unbearable.
Menstruation is one of the worst things we have to go through as women, but at the same time, it is also the greatest blessing, even if it is a burden, because it is the only thing that allows us to carry life inside of us.
But if she doesn’t plan to take that magical life with her, every month her period is just a pain in the butt that she has to endure over and over again.
While all women tend to do it during their periods, there are some things that actually harm everything. Check them out and see if you’re doing some of them – if the answer is yes, it’s time to stop.
- Don’t give up salty snacks
Salty foods make your symptoms worse, so eating chips or pizza sticks won’t do yourself any favors. Lusts are bad, but they last so long, they will disappear, just endure with us.
- Do not eat or drink dairy products
Dairy is not your friend when you’re on your period. Eating or drinking dairy products will increase gas and if you’re bloated, you’ll feel even more bloated. Who would want that now?
- Avoid unprotected sex
During your period, your cervix dilates slightly, making it easier for bacteria to enter. In general, unless you’re trying to have a baby — which you can’t do while you’re on your period — it’s never a good idea to have unprotected sex.
- Don’t pull an all-nighter
Not getting enough sleep can disrupt your hormone function and cause your body to release more of the stress hormone cortisol. Aren’t periods stressful enough? Don’t do this to yourself.
- Do not drink caffeine
Caffeine can make your contractions worse and make you feel even more jittery than you already are.
- Do not wax yourself
Pain receptors are very sensitive during menstruation, so if you want to experience a new level of pain, be my guest. Otherwise, it can be done after menstruation.
