Ree Drummond has created a recipe that focuses on the best part of pizza: the crust. pioneer Star’s Stuffed Pizza Dough recipe is based on a simple short version and is perfect for a quick weekday dinner.

Drummond came up with his own unique pizza recipe in the episode pioneer dedicated to dishes with the best parts of food.
“Have you ever noticed that some recipes have a little bit that tastes better?” she asked. “Well, I thought it would be fun to take these items and turn them into recipes.”
Drummond continued: “One of my favorite foods is pizza dough. So, I’m going to make a cheese pizza crust. I have a feeling this is going to shake my world.”
The Food Network host rolled out the pizza dough into a long rectangle and pressed it down the center with a rolling pin to make an indentation for the filling. Drizzle the top of the dough with oil and a pinch of salt.
Drummond admitted to taking a shortcut for this step. “I actually cheat and use frozen bread dough that I thawed,” he explained. “The star of the show will be the cheese itself, so I didn’t have to bother making the crust from scratch.”

The Pioneer star added a quick homemade sauce
However, Drummond made a homemade sauce. He explained how to make his easy arrabiata sauce.

He added white wine, then stirred the mixture to deglaze the pan, and cooked until the liquid was reduced by half. Drummond added canned crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, sugar and salt. He then reduced the heat to low and simmered the sauce for 30 minutes.
“If you don’t like spices, you can leave them out completely, it’s just a very good marinara sauce,” he noted.
After the sauce had cooled, Drummond placed a thin layer in the center of the pizza dough. He sprinkled the dough with Parmesan cheese, grated mozzarella and pepperoni, then added chunks of grated cheese.
“You can have a little fun and make a vegetarian version with very finely chopped olives and green peppers,” he said. “You can make Canadian bacon, crumbled boiled sausage. Oh my god, who needs a big old slice of pizza when you can eat a small crust?
Drummond shared that she was “immediately addicted” when stuffed pizzas were invented. “It’s so good. And if you’re a pizza dough lover like me, the cheese surprise inside is just great.”
The Food Network host brought the sides of the dough together, then placed the crust and filling seam-side down on an oiled baking sheet and formed a circle. She brushed the crust with a beaten egg before baking it in the oven at 475 degrees F for 15 minutes.

The Pioneering Woman star put a salad in the center of her pizza topping.
Drummond gave a special charm to the filled dough circle. “If you have sauce, dressings and cheese wrapped in a crust, who needs a centerpiece anyway? Everything you need is inside,” he said.
pioneer the star transferred it to a serving board and then made a tomato salad with basil in the center, arranging the tomato slices in a circle and tucking the basil leaves between the slices.
“He’s so special and handsome,” said Drummond. “The stuffed crust is definitely where it is.”
